I just got back from the spring and summer clothing show, Stylemax, in Chicago. I don’t know why, but it is always freezing in Chicago in January and February, and this is coming from a northern Michigan girl. It seems each time I attend a tradeshow held during those months, the temperature is always declines to sub-zero right before I leave my house! The clothes looked great, in spite of the frigid temperatures. Lots of fun colors to look forward to as well as the classic neutrals. I am really excited for things to start arriving in the store. This is one look from Cut Loose that I have on order. Of course, there will be a ton of Cut Loose coming. It is one of my favorite clothing lines. They always use fabrics that are easy to care for and put them into really easy to wear styles.
Looking forward to spring clothing
Great sweaters!
As I watch the news everyday and am overwhelmed with all of the gloom and doom that is presented to viewers on a daily basis, I started to think about things that I have in the store that have an excellent value. One of the best is this sweater from BKG & Co. At $59.50, the price is very reasonable, the selection of colors is amazing, and it is a great quality sweater. It is 100% cotton and truly easy care – machine wash and tumble dry. While it is an easy, boxy, one size fits all, it is available in three fits…a mini-fit, which is cropped to the waist and smaller in the body than the others, a BKG-fit, which is longer (to the top of the leg) with a relaxed, dropped shoulder, and the BKG trim-fit, which is the longer length with a set in sleeve. So, then, when all of the color choices are added into the mix, you can see that this sweater is perfect for a winter pick-me-up. You can view these, and other BKG & Co on our site
Leland Winter
Leland is beautiful in the winter – in definite contrast to summer, it is very laid back and relaxing.

Sunny day visitors
Today was one of the few pretty, sunny days we have had this winter. These guys must have been loving the sunshine to be out during the day, right between the house and the barn…
